We believe and take very seriously the Lord's command regarding the Great Commission. With 49 missionaries on nearly every continent and in many different foreign countries and parts of the world, it can truly be said that the "sun never goes down on the ministry of Oakside baptist Church. Over the years, our Faith Promise Missions Program, Annual Missions Conference, monthly Missions Speakers, and more have been greatly used of God to burden our people with reaching not only our city and our local area with the Gospel, but also the entire world.

While we strive to share Christ with the world, we are daily reminded of our need to reach our Jerusalem first and foremost. Our weekly outreach and visitation seeks to take the blessed message of Christ to the lost and hurting of LaGrange while at the same time inviting them to experience on of the most loving and exciting churches in the area.

By far, the most obvious and recognizable ministry of OBC is our radio station, WOAK 90.9 FM. For over 20 years, WOAK has provided LaGrange and the surrounding areas of Troup County with Christ honoring Southern Gospel and conservative Christian music and more. Good, solid, fundamental Bible preaching and teaching by local and national pastors flood the air waves with the Good News of God's Word.
